Changbai Mountain Museum was founded in 1986 and is one of the largest and the 
most integrated natural museum in our country. Being 2642 sq meters, it is established by scientists and technicians in this nature reserve. There are 3000 plant specimens with the related explanation, which accout for the forming process of the mountain, the resources of plants and animals, the forest zoology system and the energy circulations ect. It is also showed the visitors the sand map, pictures and charts in order to let them understand more about the forest zoology system and the biosphere reservation.
It is another task of the bureau to teach the public the natural protection knowledge and the forest zoology knowledge. It also the long target to lead the people to love and protect the nature.
Changbai mountain Museum is the spot to disseminate the science. It was approved as teaching base at the shire in 1999 and listed as education base in province in 2001. There are many tour groups, specialist, scholar, college students, middle school students and primary shool students to visit each year. Some are abroad visitors. They have learned the biology and ecology knowledge to protect the nature.
There are five halls in the museum including the preface hall, the zoologh hall exhibition hall, the resource hall, nature protection hall and the the muti-founction hall.
There is a large geologic structure painting of Chaibai mountain on the wall. There is huge sand map with Chinese-Enlish explanations in the center which is displayed the panorama, the geography location of Chaibai nature reserve, the topography and the terrain features.
