Full day trip to the Tian’anmen Square, the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven. Enjoy the Peking Opera Show in the evening.

Full day trip to the Great Wall, Ming Tomb and Sacred road. Enjoy a famous Peking Duck Banquet for dinner.

- The Great Wall: One of the seven wonders in the world and the symbol of China.
- The Ding Tomb: The only underground tomb of the thirteen tombs of the emperors in the Ming Dynasty.

Visit Hutongs by rickshaw. Take afternoon Train to Datong.

- Hutongs: The old narrow paths where common people lived. All the Hutongs crisscross with each other, dotted with the Kindergarten, the Bell Tower, the Drum Tower, the Tea House, and the lake, House of Gong Infant and local people’s houses among them.
Once upon you get to Datong, be met and transferred to your hotel in Datong.

Have city tours to the Yungang Grottoes, the Nine-Dragon Screen, the Steam Locomotive Factory and the Huayan Temple.

- The Yungang Grottoes: With their 252 caves and 51,000 statues, the grottoes represent the outstanding achievement of Buddhist cave art in China in the 5th and 6th centuries. The Five Caves created by Tan Yao, with their strict unity of layout and design, constitute a classical masterpiece of the first peak of Chinese Buddhist art.
- The Nine-Dragon Screen: It was built in 1392 to conceal the palace of a Ming dynasty (1368-1644) prince.
- The Steam Locomotive Factory: 2.5km southwest of the city, it was the last steam locomotive factory in the world until it switched from steam to diesel production in 1988.
- The Huayan Temple: Named after the Huayan sect of Buddhism, was established in the 11th Century and was one of the eight most important temples in the Tang Dynasty.

Day 6

Taiyuan / Pingyao
Transfer via: AM Train (about 6hrs)
Take morning train with soft seats to Taiyuan. Arrive at Taiyuan. Be met & transferred to your hotel. Have tours to Jin Ancestral Temple and Double-Pagoda Temple.

- The Jin Ancestral Temple: It was originally started in the Northern Wei Dynasty (386 - 532 AD) to commemorate the memory of Shu Yu (Zhou Wu), the founder of the state of Jin.
- The Double-Pagoda Temple: It was originally called Yongzuo Temple, built in the 36th year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (1608). The two pagodas in the temple are considered the symbol of Taiyuan city.

Day 7
Pingyao / Beijing
Transfer via: PM Train (about 10hrs)
Full day trip to the Qiao’s Grand Courtyard, the Shuanglin Temple, Pingyao ancient town, including the Ancient City Wall, the Rishengchang Draft Bank and the Mingqing Street. Take evening train with soft sleepers to Beijing.

- The Qiao’s Grand Courtyard: With the area of 8724 square meters, the courtyard was the house of the richest family Qiao in Qing Dynasty in China. Though 2 centuries have been passed, it still keeps its original splendor in architectural style.
- The Shuanglin Temple: Standing for more than 1500 years, the temple is famous for more than 2,000 painted sculptures of precious value, representing Ming and Qing Dynasties’ best. They are reputed as a “treasure reserve of the oriental painted sculptures”.
The Mingqing Street, Pingyao- Pingyao ancient town: In the middle of Shanxi Province, it is the best-preserved among the four ancient towns in China. It is the assembly place of folk houses in north China where rows upon rows of buildings in the Ming and Qing Dynasties stand in well-preserved conditions.
- The Ancient City Wall: The 6.4km-long wall was constructed in the third year of Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty (1370A.D.). It is one of the best-preserved ancient city walls in China.
- The Rishengchang Draft Bank: It was established in 1823. It was the biggest draft bank at that time and had been famous for “Hui Tong Tian Xia” (Business Connecting The Whole World).
- The Mingqing Street: It is the downtown thoroughfare and reserved quite well of the styles in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.

Disembark at the one-thousand-year-old town Yangshuo in the afternoon. Have a short exploration to the old town before to be transferred back to Guilin city.

Depart from the hotel in the morning & drive to Longji area.
Longsheng is located in the mountainous region on the northeastern part of Guilin. The natural beauty and the colorful ethnic Chinese cultures and customs attract people from all over the world.
After 2.5 hours drive (115KM beautiful mountain road) you will get to the Longji area, Heping Township of Longsheng County. Visit Zhuang and Yao Minority tribes villages and some families if you like. Those ethnic girls dressed in their own colors may have a demonstration on hair combing or singing and dancing upon guests’ request and gratuity. Clients will enjoy the beautiful terrace rice fields after getting to the summit of Longji (Dragon’s backbone).The terrace rice fields were first built in the Yuan Dynasty ( about 800 years ago) and completed in the Qing dynasty as the crystallization of the wisdom and labor of the Zhuang people. The terraced fields are built along the slope winding from the riverside up to the mountaintop, with the highest place of an elevation of 885m and the lowest 380m. The coiling line spirals up from the mountain foot to the top, making the mountain looks like huge snail seen afar.

Visit the Chengyang Shelter Bridge in the morning. Then to be transferred to the Diping Shelter Bridge,which is the oldest and the most beautiful shelter bridge in Guizhou Province. Keep driving to southeastern area of Guizhou province. Visit the Tang’an& Zhaoxing Dong ethnic villages.
-Chengyang Shelter Bridge: One of the most beautiful & well protected shelter bridges in China,constructed in 1911,finished in 1925. The bridge is 64.4 meters long, 3.4 meters wide, 10.6 meters high, with beautiful shelters construction on it. It is supported by five big stone piers and the whole bridge is made of wood with all mortise and tenon joints, without any iron nails.
-Diping Shelter Bridge: The oldest shelter bridge in Guizhou Province. Constructed in 1883, the bridge is 56 meters long. It is painted with beautiful pictures of history and scenery. The entire bridge is made of wood with all mortise and tenon joints, without any iron nails.

Zhaoxing/Congjiang/Basha/Tingdong/Zengcong / Rongjiang

the special Basha Miao Ethnic groups village. Then keep driving via Tingdong Town to Zengcong Town to visit the oldest & biggest Zengcong Drum Tower.Stay overnight at Rongjiang County.
-Basha Miao Ethnic village: It is a very special and old Miao Ethnic village. The villagers remain their unique tradition since Qing Dynasty( about 2200 years ago). All the men comb their hair with a very special hair, caring a knife on the waist and a traditional fowling piece, dressing like an ancient Chinese warrior.
-Zengcong Drum Tower: It is the oldest and the most beautiful drum tower in China. It is 25 meters high with 13 stories. It was built in 1672. You can walk to the top for the beautiful views.
Rongjiang County: It is an old town with the history of over 2000 years. It is holly land where the Dong & Miao ethnic nationalities originated.

Rongjiang/Chejiang/Sandu/Danzhai/Qingman / Kaili

Depart early in the morning to visit the Chejiang Banyan trees. Then keep driving via Sandu,Danzhai,enjoy the beautiful view on the way. Arrive at special mini skirt Qingman Miao ethnic village in the afternoon. To be transferred to the Kaili city.

Langde/Lanhua/Guiyang / Kunming

Take morning flight to Dali.Full day trip to Three Pagodas, Butterfly Spring. Visit housing architecture of the Bai ethnic minority and old town.
-Three Pagodas:are located northwest to Dali at the foot of Cangshan Mountains. The Qianxun Pagoda, completed in 876 during the Tang dynasty (618-907AD).
-Butterfly Spring:In spring, when the trees put forth fragrant flowers, thousands of butterflies flutter among the branches and over the spring water forming a dazzling “Kingdom of Butterflies”.
-Xizhou House: where the Bai ethnic minority people live. You will see their traditional culture.
-Ancient Dali town: built in 1382 and is one the 24 most famous historical and cultural cities in China.

Be transferred to Lijiang. Full day trip to Lijiang old town and Black Dragon Park.
-Lijiang ancient town:The town was built in the late song dynasty and the early Yuan dynasty and was listed by the UNESCO on the list of the world’s major cultural heritages in 1997.

Full day trip to Yak Meadow by cable lift,Yufeng Lamasery and Baisha Murals.

- Martial Arts Perfomance : You don’t have to be a martial arts enthusiast to appreciate the incredible feats of strength, with fists, feet, swords, and other weapons. Kungfu expert display their kicks, punches and use of weapons with uncanny speed, power and agility.
- The Tian’anmen Square : Located at the center of Beijing City , where you can visit Tiananmen Tower, Monument to the People’s Heroes, Great Hall of the People, China Mao’s Memorial Hall.

- Forbidden city : the Forbidden City was the place where the emperors of the Ming and Qing Dynasties carried out their administration and lived. Now it is open to the public as a palace museum where people can see the great traditional palace architecture, enjoy the treasures kept in the palace, and learn of the legends and anecdotes about the imperial family and the court.
- The Temple of Heaven : The Temple of Heaven was the place where the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties worshipped heaven and prayed for good harvests. The emperors visited the temple three times a year: on the 8th day of the first lunar month to pray for a good harvest; during the Summer Solstice to pray for rain; and during Winter Solstice to give thanks for a good harvest. This is a good place to watch people practicing Taichi each morning

- The Sacred Road : The road is guarded on both sides with stone statues by which the ancient emperors went to hold a memorial ceremony for the ancestors.
- Dingling : The Underground Palace of Dingling was unearthed during the period 1956 to 1958. The whole palace was made of stone. It consists of five high palaces - the front, the middle, the back, the left and the right palaces. It is the tomb for the mausoleum of Emperor Zhu Yijun, the thirteenth emperor, and his two empresses.
- Mutianyu Great Wal l: One of the seven wonders in the world and the symbol of China.
- Roasted Duck at Qianmen Quanjude : In the evening, enjoy the Peking Roasted Duck which is renowned as the most delicious food of Beijing.

Visit the Hutongs by rickshaw and Xiushui Street.

- Hutongs : Hutong is a kind of alleyway peculiar to Beijing. Surrounding the Forbidden City, many of these small windy alleyways were built during the Yuan (1206-1341), Ming(1368-1628) and Qing(1644-1908) dynasties. In the prime of these dynasties the emperors, in order to establish supreme power for themselves, planned the city and arranged the residential areas according to the etiquette systems of the Zhou Dynasty. The typical buildings in Hutong are quadrangles-a compound with houses around a square courtyard. A tour to the Hutong will be escorted a visit to a local family, having a cheerful talk with the family member to see how life goes on within these traditional architectures. And also we will visit one primary school in the Hutong, knowing more of Beijing and its people. And also we will visit one primary school and a flee market in the Hutong, knowing more of Beijing, its people and distinctive culture.
- Xiushui Street : Xiushui Street is one of the famous clothing markets in Beijing. It attracts domestic and foreign tourists with varied styles, colors and materials as well as a inexpensive price.

Take morning flight to Xi’an
Flight to Xi’an, ancient capital for 11 centuries,and the ancient gateway to the Silk Road full of Chinese legendary. In the afternoon, you are arranged to visit the Shanxi Historical museum and the City Wall. Enjoy Evening Show at Tang Yuegong.

- Shaanxi historical museum : The Shaanxi Historical Museum, a large-scale modern State-class museum, is situated at the western side of the “Wild Goose Pagoda” in Xian City. It covers an area of about 70,000 square meters, the architectural area of which is 55,000 odd square meters. It was completed on June 20, 1991 and open to the public.
- Xian City Wall : Xian City Wall is a major landmark, and iis the best preserved, as well as the oldest and largest of the city defence systems in China. Bikes can be rented to ride along the top of the wall for about RMB20/hour.
- Evening Show at Tang Yuegong : The Tang Dynasty show: The show that presents the palace dances and sings in the Tang Dynasty when Xian was the capital of ancient China.

Xi’an
Xi’an’s rich history comes alive on a visit to the greatest archaeological finding of the century: the army of terra cotta warriors and the bronze chariots entombed in vast underground vaults at emperor Qin’s tomb. Other monuments on your tour include The Grand Mosque, Big Wild Goose Pagoda and Bell Tower.

- Terror cotta warriors : This incredible 2000 year-old army of life-sized warriors, each one unique, is part of the underground tomb of the Emperor Qin. Well over 7000 figures were drawn up in full battle array in several large pits. Many of the figures, including soldiers, archers, horses and chariots, have been restored, and the repairs and excavations continue at the site where you can see both repaired and broken warriors in a truly impressive display. There is also an excellent museum, including bronze chariots unearthed nearby, and a film about the history and discovery of the tomb. It is about 35 km from Xi’an. Most hotels and hostels run tours, or the public bus #306 leaves from the parking lot near the railway station. Electric cars are available to visitors from the car park to the entrance of the complex.
- Bell Tower : This is the largest and best-preserved of its kind in China, is 36 meters (118 feet) high. It stands on a brick base 35.5 meters (116.4 feet) long and 8.6 meters (28.2 feet) high on each side.

- Big Wild Goose Pagoda : The pagoda where widely renowned Master Xuanzang (Monk Tripitaka) stored his classics brought from India.
- The Grand Mosque : With more than 1200 years’ history, the mosque is one of the four grand Islamic mosques in China. It is really well worth a trip to see the Great Mosque, not only for its history but also for its particular design of mixed architecture 鈥?combining traditional Muslim and Chinese styles.

Day 7

Xi’an / Chongqing
Transfer via: AM flight
Be transferred to the airport for your flight to Chongqing.
Arrive at Chongqing.Be met at the airport & transferred to take a half day city tour:

- Shangcheng Acrobatic Show : Enjoy the Acrobatic Show in the evening.
- Nanjing Road : Nanjing Road is Shanghai’s main shopping street.
- Jade Buddha Temple : It is one of the main touristic highlights in Shanghai and it’s also the most active temple in China. If you’re lucky, you can watch the monks serving cermony in a side room.

- Elephant Trunk Hil l: Located at the conjunction of the Li River & the Peach Blossom River, the whole hill looks very much like a giant elephant with a long trunk, it is the symbol of Guilin city.
- Reed Flute Cave : Known as 鈥渢he Palace of Natural Arts鈥?this large and well-presented cave system has some remarkable formations. Make sure you have some small change for the children who sell flutes for as little as one yuan 鈥?if you’ve got nothing less than a dollar you’ll end up with their whole stock.

Guilin
Full day Li River Cruise to Yangshuo with lunch aboard and return to Guilin late in the afternoon.Attrations include:Li River Cruise, Yangshuo Big Banyan Tree, Yangshuo Moon Mountain.

- Li River Cruise : Depart from your hotel in the morning. Be transferred to the Zhujiang Pier(about 1 hour drive)for a 4.5 hours wonderful cruise.You will enjoy the picturesque mountains, peaceful green fields ,farms and villages with water buffalos,cows wondering around on both sides of the river bank. Disembark at the one-thousand-year-old town Yangshuo in the afternoon. Have a short exploration to the old town before to be transferred back to Guilin city.
- Yangshuo Big Banyan Tree : Big Banyan Tree, located 7.5km south of Yangshuo, is one of the main scenic attractions of Yangshuo county. It is said that the banyan was planted in the Jin Dynasty and is famous for its age and towering beauty.The banyan tree is now 17 meters high, 7.1 meters around the trunk, and covers an area of 1000 square meters.
- Yangshuo Moon Mountain : Moon Cave is named for it’s giant archway (about 50 metres). Be prepared for the local hawkers, who will pester you to buy water, and are very persistent.

- The Norbulingka Park: Norbulingka means “Jeweled Garden”. It was constructed as a summer palace for the Dalai Lama at the beginning then served the whole governmental administration.
- The Carpet Factory: The highland of Tibet is the actual home of the oriental carpets. By visiting Carpet Factory you will have a general idea how carpets are produced.

Day 12
Lhasa / Shigatse
Drive from Lhasa to Shigatse (about 347km). On the way visit Yamdrok Lake, Karola Glacier and Baiju Monastery. Stay overnight in Shigatse.

- Yamdrok Lake: It is within Langkamu county, with an area of 638 square km and a coastal line of 250 km.
- Baiju Monastery: It is with 9 stories, 108 doors and 77 rooms. Each room contains a different statue of Buddha and the wall frescoes telling the story about it.

Day 13
Shigatse / Lhasa
Visit Tashilumpo Monastery, free market. Drive along the Yaluzangbu River back to Lhasa.

- Tashilumpo Monastery: Painted in red and white, the buildings in the monastery stand closely together in terraced rows, offering a grand and majestic view.

Lhasa / Chengdu
Transfer via: AM flight

- Dingling: The Underground Palace of Dingling was unearthed during the period 1956 to 1958. The whole palace was made of stone. - Shanxi historical museum: The large-scale modern State-class museum, is situated at the western side of the “Wild Goose Pagoda” in Xian City. It covers an area of about 70,000 square meters, the architectural area of which is 55,000 odd square meters. It was completed on June 20, 1991 and open to the public.
- Xian City Wall: is a major landmark, and the best preserved, as well as the oldest and largest of the city defence systems in China. Bikes can be rented to ride along the top of the wall for about 20 yuan/hour

Visit Terror cotta warriors, Bell Tower, Banpo Site, Big Wild Goose Pagoda.

- Terror cotta warriors: This incredible 2000 year-old army of life-sized warriors, each one unique, is part of the underground tomb of the Emperor Qin. Well over 7000 figures were drawn up in full battle array in several large pits. Many of the figures, including soldiers, archers, horses and chariots, have been restored, and the repairs and excavations continue at the site where you can see both repaired and broken warriors in a truly impressive display. There is also an excellent museum, including bronze chariots unearthed nearby, and a film about the history and discovery of the tomb.
- Bell Tower: This is the largest and best-preserved of its kind in China, is 36 meters (118 feet) high. It stands on a brick base 35.5 meters (116.4 feet) long and 8.6 meters (28.2 feet) high on each side.

- Banpo Site: Banpo is a village that existed some 6,000 years ago near Xi’an in the Shaanxi Province of China. Artifacts that have been unearthed from the Banpo site are all that remains of this prehistoric clan-based community. The village grounds occupied a physical area of 50,000 square meters, and consisted primarily of a residential section, a pottery area, and burial grounds.
- Big Wild Goose Pagoda: The pagoda where widely renowned Master Xuanzang (Monk Tripitaka) stored his classics brought from India.

- Li River Cruise: Li River Cruise: A cruise along the Li River between Guilin and Yangshuo is an unforgettable experience. As you take in the stunning scenery there’s something interesting to see at almost every bend in the river. Between spectacular limestone peaks you see graceful bamboo groves, farmers tending rice paddies, and lumbering water buffaloes pulling carts or cooling off in the river. You may see fishermen gliding along on their narrow bamboo rafts, and if you very lucky you might see one of the famous fishing cormorants. Boats depart from various wharves, according to the height of the river at different times of the year, and connecting by bus with Guilin.

Lhasa
Full day trip to Drepong Monastery, Sera Monastery, Norbulingka, and the Carpet Factory.

Founded in 1416, Drepong is the biggest and richest monastery in Tibet that was divided into four Tantric colleges - that specialised in different branches of knowledge.

The Sera Monastery lies on the northern edge of Lhasa at the base of Tatipu Hill. ‘Sera’ means ‘merciful hail’ denoting its rivalry with the ‘Rice Heap’ (Drepong) since hail destroys rice. Sera was smaller than Drepong with about 7,000 monks but was very rich and comparable in power.

The Carpet Factory: The highland of Tibet is the actual home of the oriental carpets. By visiting Carpet Factory you will have a general idea of how carpets are produced.

Day 4
Lhasa / Zedang
Drive from Lhasa to Zedang (about 175km). Visit Yongbulakang and Changzhu Temple.

Yongbulakang: the palace for the 1st Tubo King Niechi in the Yalong River Valley. It is also called “the Mosher and Song Holy Hall”.

Changzhu Temple: It is on the east bank of the Yalong River in the district of Shannan.

Day 5
Tsedang / Gyantse

Yomdrok Lake: It is within Langkamu county, with an area of 638 square km and a coastal line of 250 km.

Palkhor Monastery: It is with 9 stories, 108 doors and 77 rooms. Each room contains a different statue of Buddha and the wall frescoes tell the story about it.

Day 6
Gyantse / Shigatse
Drive from Gyantse to Shigatse (about 151km). Visit Tashilunpo Monastery.

Tashilunpo Monastery: Painted in red and white, the buildings in the monastery stand closely together in terraced rows, offering a grand and majestic view.

Day 7
Shigatse / Tingri
Drive from Shigatse to Tingri. Visit the Palace of Panchen Lama,Sakya Monastery and Lhatse city.

Palace of Panchen Lama: Located in the south of Tashilunpo monastery(20 minutes’ walk)The Summer Palace built for the 10th Panchan in 1954.

Sakya Monastery:This monastery is the center of the Sakyapa Sect (White Earth Order).

Day 8
Tingri / Everest Base
Drive from Tingri to Everest Base Camp. Visit Rongbuk Monastery then back to Tingri.
-Rongbuk Monastery:once the largest monastic center in the region.

Day 9
Tingri / Zhangmu
Be transferred to the border town Zhangmu.
Be transferred to Zhangmu.

Day 10
Zhangmu / Nepel
Drive to the Friendship Bridge to Nepal.

The Jokhang Temple is the spiritual centre of Tibet - a destination for millions of Tibetan pilgrims.
