DongGuan museum is the local integrated museum. It was begun to built in 1931 and the new building was begun to use in 1994. The total area of the museum is 3300 square kilometers. The main business subjects of this museum are: assemblying ,Collection , Custody, Researchment, Publicity of the heritage and organizing various kinds of shows. There are the 8244 pieces of heritages in this museum: a piece of first level artifacts, 43 pieces of second level artifacts and 969 pieces of third level artifacts, 7231 pieces of Undetermined level of artifacts and others. There have been opened 135 times of various kinds of shows from 1996 to 2000 and the number of the visitors who are chinese and from all of the world are 50,000.
They have began to cooperated with GuangDong Medical College to do some technical research. In the result of this research, they have gained big achivemen.
