Nanhai Kwan-yin Culture Garden is located at the Daxian Peak of Mount Xiqiao, Nanhai, and composed of Nanhai Kwan-yin’s primary joss, Fairyland, Fairyland Market, Fortune and Longevity Lotus Pond as well as Big and Clear Lake. The total area of the Garden amounts to 0.15 million sq.m. As its altitude reaches 292.47 meters, Daxian Peak is one of 72 peaks, coupled with Two Horses Peak and Saddle Peak at the left and right, respectively.

The Garden backs on Daxian Peak, the highest one in Mount Xiqiao. When overlooking the Peak, you can realize that it’s fully in conformity with the optimum geomantic omen of “left side like a wandering dragon, right side like a tame and docile tiger, rear end like a lolling snake and front side like a red swallow”

Kwan-yin Bodhisattva’s joss is 61.9 meters high, implying that Kwan-yin Bodhisattva realized the Buddhism’ enlightment on 19th of June. While adopting a seated posture, the joss has a precious pearl coronet, spindle eyebrow and red lip, with her neck surround by holy light, eyes like two stars and viewing downwards. And, the joss has pulled on holy clothes, put up strung pearls, pendants and skirt, while sitting on the lotus flower throne, watching all flesh and presenting a sedate and merciful appearance, with the aim to help people from bitters and disasters.

The lotus flower throne ’s diameter of Kwan-yin Bodhisattva is 36 meter, with three layers of enchased 66 lotus leaves. Inside the joss, there are grand halls of five-storeys, coupled with many cultural artworks and Gongdelin displays unique to Kwan-yin Bodhisattva. The lotus flower throne is surrounded by water, and provided with four bridges, which imply Pure lands and beneficial water on all directions, and enlightenment is available on all directions.
Besides, the scenic spot –Thousand Buddhas Shined in the Sun–is contrasting finely with the magnificent Kwan-yin joss. And, 33 famous booths are built along the mount, wherein 33 incarnated Kwan-yin Bodhisattva josses are embraced. At the left side of Daxian Peak, a Kwan-yin temple is built, which is a micro-sight of Kwan-yin joss well-known at home and abroad for its artistic value.

Besides, there are Fairyland Market, Fortune and Longevity Lotus Pond, Big and Clear Lake as well as Torii Square, etc, all of which are beautiful culture-oriented building complex unique to Kwan-yin.
The completed Nanhai Kwan-yin Culture Garden is not only a piece of civilized artwork and symbol mirroring Nanhai’s economic development, cultural prosperity and social peace, but also another great outcome of religious culture in Lingnan regions.
