Sanshui Forest Park is located at the beautiful waterfront of Beijiang River and northern suburb of Xinan town, Sanshui , with its total area of about 80 sq.km. This Park is built in tune with the significant strategy of 21st century–”driven by brand name, ecological planning and developing by science and education”–put forward by Sanshui municipal Party committee and government. And, it’s also in conformity with the requirements concerning “a city boasting mounts and rivers” put forward by Qian Xuesen, a famous scientist in China –(it refers to a future city that a large-scale park shall be built, and mounts and rivers shall be required so as to satisfy the ecological requirements of the city and integrate the human life into the nature for harmonization of the human beings and nature).

Yundonghai Tourism Economic Zone is so far the only biggest “jade” of Zhujiang Delta, which boasts complete plant cover and mounts and rivers. It’s mainly composed of Sanshui Forest Park, hills and forests at the north and Dalangwo bottomland. The primary functions include tourism and sightseeing, leisure and amusement, deluxe residence and support services, etc. And, it features harmonized nature, integrated mount and river and clustered flowers and forests, coupling with unique tourist attractions such as three rivers’ infall and Yundonghai, the largest lake in Zhujiang Delta. Thus, it is available with complex ecological tourism zone integrating a vacationland unique to Zhujiang Delta and optimum housing environment.

The advantages of this tourism zone’s geographical location are as follows: It is provided with a convenient road traffic, which is a meeting point of Guangzhou–Sanshui expressway, Guangzhou–Zhaoqing expressway, Guangzhou–Sanshui railway, Sanshui–Maoming railway. And, it’s available with developed inland rivers transportation with three rivers’ infall. Besides, it’s both the joint point of economic developed zones and underdeveloped zones of Guangdong province and the key point connecting Guangdong province and Guangxi province, with its distance less than 150 km from some developed zones and key cities such as Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Shunde, etc. Therefore, it presents a bright prospect of tourism market.

After a few years’ development and construction, various scenic spots and landscapes of Yundonghai Tourism Economic Zone have been further improved, thereby a number of tourists have been attracted every year.
