The tourism industry in Fuzhou is booming, so it is not hard to find a decent hotel, especially for those on a high budget. While the tourist sights here are nothing to write about, the hotel situation is in a slightly better position. The oddest feature of the Fuzhou hotels is in their use of hot spring water in the rooms. This water is claimed to contain multiple mineral substances and trace elements that will help to cure chronic diseases.
At the top end, there is the famous Hot Spring Hotel and the Lakeside Hotel. These five star hotels provide good service and are located in the city centre. The Fujian Foreign Trader Center Hotel is in the same grade, but cheaper.
Mid-range hotel are plentiful, the Success Link International Hotel and Tianfu Hotel are of the best in this grade, while the Juchunyuan Hotel is a must for cuisine hunters, built around the famous restaurant of the same name.
For bargain hunters your best bet is the Nanyang Hotel on Hualin Rd or try to get into the hostels of the Fuzhou University .
