Trains out of Guiyang head east into central China and beyond via Kaili; north to Zunyi and Chongqing; west to Kunming via Anshun and Liupanshui; and south to Liuzhou and other destinations in Guangxi. The train station staff is very helpful; there are plenty of signs in English and buying tickets is unproblematic (ticket offices 7am-noon & 1-7pm). If you’re heading to Zunyi, Kaili or Liupanshui, the train is generally faster than bus.
