There is a hotel industry in eastern Hainan, but with a lack of five star hotels. The best the area offers is a small number of four and three star hotels. In the popular Xinglong area of Wanning, four star hotels include the Kangle Garden Resort Wanning, the Xinglong Pearl Hot Springs Hotel, and the Tianjian Garden Hotel.
Among the area’s three star hotels, are the Shouxian Hot Springs Villa in Xinglong, the Nanwan Bibo Hotel in Linghai (near Monkey Island), and the Kowlong Holiday Village in Wenchang.
If you are on a budget, you may still find a hotel that fits your budget as some of the room rates are fairly low. Otherwise, look for local hostels that may take foreigners.
