The Ten-Thousand-Spring River is 162 km long, and the 3rd longest river in Hainan Island. At its upper reach, characterized by the ups and downs of the fluctuating mountain ridges and steep and narrow valleys and cliffs, the water flows rapidly through forests and winds around mountains. At the lower reach, the river widens to form a flat, smooth, rippling lake surface. Here, the river flows through Qionghai City for 81 km. While it is in the city, Shazhou Island is located in the middle of the river with the famous Guantang Hot Spring and charming Baishi Ridge beauty spot at both sides.
You can take a boat trip down the river, enjoying some spectacular scenery.
How to get there: There are five docks in the city where you can take a boat trip down the river from.
Cost for boat trips: Approximately RMB10.
