The oddly named Shirble Swan Hotel (Suibao tian’e fandian) is on Zhongshan Lu, only 5 minutes drive from the railway station and 40 minutes from the Airport. Almost all important commercial districts can be reached in 10 minutes by car.

This three star hotel has a total of 310 rooms including standard/superior rooms, suites and deluxe suites. All of the rooms have central air-conditioning, small private bath, refrigerator, satellite TV (only CNN in English) and IDD telephone. The hotels best features are its entertainment facilities, including what they claim is the biggest billiards room in the country, a 12-lane bowling alley, a glass roof swimming pool, an indoor golf course, and a sauna. Not bad. For more serious guests there is a business center with secretarial service, a conference room with simultaneous interpretation facilities and a few function rooms.

Restaurants are pretty mediocre here, but include foods from Canton (Seafood Restaurant), the West (Western Restaurant), the Northeast and Beijing (Elegant Food Center) and, the best of the lot, Sichuan (Hotpot/Buffet Restaurant).
