Day1 Home - Beijing
Depart from home and arrive in Beijing, the first stop of your wonderful tour in China. It is a unique representation of the past and future of China, a country with 5,000 years’ history. We meet you at the airport and transfer to the hotel in downtown. In the afternoon, you are at leisure for shopping or additional exploration. You can have a rest and make plenty of preparation for the exciting tour waiting for you. Overnight in Beijing.

Day2 Beijing
After breakfast, you’ll visit Tiananmen Square, with a total area of 440,000 square meters, which boasts the largest of its kind in the center of Beijing. Then you will enter the Forbidden City, the home of Chinese Emperors for more than 500 years. It is the place to go if you want to see the most complete and best-preserved collection of ancient buildings and historical treasures in China. After lunch, visit the Summer Palace, which encompasses Longevity Hill (Wanshoushan) and a series of palaces, pavilions, terraces and covered walks strung out along the northern shore of Kunming Lake. In order to avoid the intense heat of the summer in Beijing, the imperial court used to leave the Forbidden City and stay in this specially built resort. In the evening, attend a welcome banquet featuring Beijing Roast Duck, specially prepared for you!

Day3 Beijing - Hohhot
The highlight today is an excursion to the Great Wall at "Badaling". As the old Chinese saying tells: "No one is a real man unless he has climbed the Great Wall". You can enjoy the dramatic vistas and marvel at the Wall as it climbs and descends steep ridges and narrow valleys. After lunch, visit the Ming Tombs, built from 1409 A.D. -1644 A.D, where 13 emperors of the Ming (1368-1644) and their empresses and concubines were buried. In the evening, take the overnight train with soft sleepers to Hohhot.

Day4 Hohhot
Arrive at Hohhot. Visits Dazhao Temple, which was built in 1580 in Ming dynasty. It is one of the biggest also the best-preserved temple in Hohhot. Then visit the Zhao-Jun’s tomb. Zhaojun Tomb is one of the beautiful scenes in ancient times. In fact this is not the reason it becomes famous, but because of the lady Wang Zhaojun, one of the four most distinguished beauties of Chinese history, who married Emperor of Xiongnu to keep peaceful relationship between two countries.

Day5 Hohhot
Board a coach to the Xilamuren Grassland area. Take Horse-riding lessons and enjoy displays of nomadic horse-riding skills and wrestling. Evening entertainment and overnight in nomadic tent or yurt.

Day6 Hohhot
Xilamuren, meaning "yellow river" in Mongolian, is located 100 km north of Hohhot. Xilamuren Prairie, commonly known as Taihe, got its name for Puhui Temple, a Lama temple built in the Qing dynasty near Xilamuren River. Xilamuren Prairie, a typical example on the plateau, is covered by green grass and fresh flowers every summer and autumn. Enjoy a full day horse riding expedition across the grassland.

Day7 Hohhot - Beijing
Take the train back to Beijng and see off.
