Kashgar AirportKashgar Airport is situated in Kashgar City, Kashgar Prefecture, and was opened to foreign passengers in April 1993 upon the approval by the State Council.
Built in 1953, the Kashgar airport has been extended for three times. The runway is 2800 m long and 50 m wide, and can allow Tu-154 and other smaller planes to take off and touch down safely. The airport has a 4856-m2 waiting building.

Kashgar Airport now became an intertational airport hosting direct filghts from Islamabad, Pakistan. More International flights are about to come soon.
