The Kashgar Hotel (Kashigaer binguan) formerly reserved for government officials, recently opened its doors to foreigners. This sprawling hotel is well out of town, about 4km from the center and 9km from the airport. Bus no 10 stops in front of the hotel.

The hotel is set in a large garden with a tranquil environment. All the rooms are clean and nicely decorated, but the doors can only be locked from the outside. However, there are floor attendants on duty.

There are various restaurants within the hotel, including a Moslem Restaurant and Western Restaurant. There is also a coffee shop and outdoor and indoor bars. The hotel also provide travel service consultation, currency exchange desk and IDD.

Although quite far from the city center, this is the closest hotel to the Sunday Market.
