In Lhasa, most of the mid range hotels are Chinese style, with the exception of the Kechu Hotel (Lhasa jiqu fandian). This is a Tibetan style hotel that is centrally located, about 50m north of Barkhor Square.

This is a good value hotel where you can enjoy good service in a real Tibetan environment from friendly staff. Besides this, there is an antique shop on site as well as a restaurant which provides delicious but cheap Tibetan food and great cheesecakes.
