Lianyungang City Museum, located at the west of Cangwu Road where the environment is quiet and tasteful, covers the area of 32 Chinese acres within 4,105 square meters construction area, collecting over 16,000 pieces of culture relics. Since it has been built up 50 years ago, Lianyungang City Museum has developed several special exhibitions covering history, nature and art. Among them, the historical relic exhibition hall has demonstrated bright culture of Lianyungang area from paleolithic 10,000 to 20,000 year ago to Ming and Qing Dynasties time. The prehistoric rough, solemnity of Shang and Zhou Dynasties, flourish of Han and Tang Dynasties and Ming and Qing Dynasties’ exquisite obtained the full demonstration here. In recent years, Lianyungang City Museum has enjoyed the name of “Jiangsu Province school moral education base”, “Jiangsu Province popular science education base”, “Jiangsu Province science and technology education demonstration base for young people” and the “Lianyungang city ten big patriotic educations base”.
