Qufu’s tiny train station is marooned out on the outskirts of town, ;ts build- lng one closer was thought to disturb the sage’s grave. The direct overnight train fi’om Beijing drops you here, as do three other routes fi’om Tar’an and Jinan. From the station, take bus #5 (RMB1) into town, which stops at both the bus station and the Confucius Temple. Other trains stop at Yanzhou, 16kin west, on the Beijing-Shanghai line, and regular buses (RMB4) run between the two towns
