The Bank of China head office is on Renmin Lu right in the centre of town, just north of Guanqian Jie (Men-Fri 8.30-11.30am & 1.30-4.30pm, Sat 8am-t 1.30pm). You can change traveller’s cheques in any of the upmarket hotels if you’re a guest.
