Transprtation of Tongren have rapid developed 
recent years, it has greatest advantage of the local investment environment for the Policy of Development Western Area.
It has wonderful transportation system by Road and by Sea . Sea transportation gushing down the Yangtze River shipping, Daxing Airport had built in July 2001.
There are two Railway Station from which you can get through the territory of all counties. The YuHuai Railway conects Tongren ,Jiangkou and Songtao three counties, with 10 points. It was completed in 2004 . YuTong Highway(Yuping- Tongren Highways) was completed and open it connects with No.320 National Road.
There are Buses and Mini Buses from Tongren Station to all over the China .
