Taxi parking lot is situated in front of the Urumqi Railway Station. However, if you would like to go somewhere close to this Railway Station( with the starting fee less than RMB 10), generally, the drivers are not willing to go there, therefore you’d better walk out from the square in front of the Station ,then go ahead to the main road to hire Taxis.
Taxi starts with RMB6 yuan for 2.3km then RMB1.3yuan per Km.
During the tourist season you can hire a car (Santan) for RMB500 yuan per day.
