There are several travel agents in town that may come in handy for buying train or plane tickets, and for organizing trips to Qinghai Hu (see p. 1063) or more remote parts of Qinghai. The most convenient are the Qinghai Jiaotong Liixingshe (0971/8149504), based at the front of the long distance bus station; Qinghai Nationalities Travel Service at the Minzu hotel (0971/8225991); and CITS, at 156 Huanghe Lu (0971/6133841, www. citsqh.com)- they also have an office outside the PSB on Bei Dajie (0971/8224937).
