The tropical forest in Xishuangbanna abounds in rich biological resources and as a result has been crowned locally as the “Kingdom of Flora and Fauna” as well as being home to numerous Herbal Medicines. Locals here make a wealth of shopping specialties, using largely traditional methods and their own hands. Dai brocade and bamboo products are hugely popular with tourists. Perhaps one of the nicest aspects about shopping in the region is the array and selection of exotic fruit that is available here.
