Yangshuo is a place where the Han,the Zhuang and the Yao people live in compact communities.With a history of Thousands of years,they have formed folk customs and folk cultures with colorful national or local features,which have developed the excellent culture and moral concepts of the Chinese nation.

Yangshou was established as a county in the Sui dynasty (A. D. 590).
