The long distance bus station (Tel: 0717-6445314) is two blocks south of the railway station. Air-con expresses leave for Wuhan every hour (4hrs). There are also buses to Muyuping in the Zhangjiajie scenic area.

Long Distance Bus Station
There are 3 terminals (long distance bus station):
Yichang Port Bus Station, Yichang Bus Station,Dagongqiao Bus Station.
Almost 5 minutes a coach drive to Wuhan via Shashi, and arrival Yichang from Wuhan via Shashi  as well.
Yichang–Shashi–Wuhan, cost 14-18USD/p.p.
Yichang Port Station: 07:00–18:00, coach depart every half hour.
Yichang Station: 07:00-19:00, coach depart every half hour.
Dagongqiao Station: 05:00–20:00, coach depart every  15minutes.
Most people get in by boat. There is an airport located 40min driving out of the city and a main bus station. There are further bus stations at the docks where the river cruises end/start. There is also a train station.Lots of buses, the town is not that big so going by foot is an option. If you want to go to the ‘Three Visitors Cave’ take bus No.10 leaving at the main Square (hourly or half hourly).
