Yinchuan is divided into two parts, the new, industrialised section of the city (Xincheng), that is convenient for the railway and airport, and the older section (Laocheng) to the east. However Laocheng has a better atmosphere, is closer to the sights, has most hotels and the bus station. In summer the city is often busy with tourists and businessmen, making finding accommodation sometimes troublesome. It is worth booking ahead of your arrival.
In Xincheng, the Yinchuan Railway Hotel (Yinchuan tiedao binguan, Tel: 0951-3069119), a short distance west of the railway station, is both cheap and convenient. The Xincheng Hotel (Xincheng binguan, Tel: 0951-3066010), at the intersection of Xincheng xijie and Tiedong lu, also has cheap and basic doubles, with baths, for under RMB100.
In Laocheng, the best budget hotel is the Yinchuan Hotel (Yinchuan fandian, Tel: 0951-6023053), on Jiefang xijie, near the intersection with Jinning jie. It has cheap triples with a bath (about RMB30). The Jinqiao Hotel (Jinqiao, Tel: 0951-6026431), west of Gulou (the Drum Tower) on Jiefang dongjie, is also a good low budget option, with doubles and three beds dorms in clean rooms.
For those on mid-range budgets, the best hotel is probably the Ningfeng Hotel, at the intersection of Jiefang jie and Minzu jie, is fairly new, with comfortable facilities (including Visa/MasterCard/American Express payment).
At the top end of hotel prices, both the Rainbow Bridge Hotel (Hongqiao dajiudian, Tel: 0951-6918888), on Jiefang xijie, at the intersection with Jinning jie, and the International Hotel, at 25 Beihuan donglu, are both of three star facilities. The Rainbow Bridge is slightly better located, although the International is close to the airport.
The International Hotel (Guoji fandian) is located at the north of the city, on the Beihuan DongLu. It is about 27km from the airport and 13km from the railway station. There are a total of 169 rooms in this three star hotel, from standard rooms up to deluxe suites. All the rooms are comfortably equipped with central air-conditioning, a remote controlled TV, mini-fridge, minibar and IDD telephone.
Yinchuan Kaida Hotel 
The Kaida Hotel (Kaida dajiudian) is a three star hotel located in the old city of Yinchuan. It is about 19km from the airport and 13km from railway station.The hotel has 300 guestrooms, ranging from standard rooms to deluxe suites. All rooms are equipped with air-conditioning, satellite television, telephones and mini bars.Recreational services such as karaoke, a swimming pool, a bowling alley, a sauna and a beauty salon are provided.
The Ningfeng Hotel (Ningfeng binguan) is located at the junction of Jiefang Lu and Minzu Lu, diagonally opposite the post office. This three star facilities hotel is about 20km from the airport and 13km from the railway station.This 16-storey hotel provides comfortable rooms with reasonable prices. All the rooms are basically equipped with air conditioning, telephone, TV and refrigerator.
