The most prosperous business center in Zhengzhou and the biggest and most representative business center in the whole province of Henan.

Situated in the downtown, the square is surrounded by not only a number of big department stores such as Hualian Commercial Building, Shangcheng Plaza, the Department Building, Asia Department Store, International Friendship Square, Zhenghong Shopping Center, Kingbird Town, Denis Department Store and the Book Center, but also hundreds of small and medium-sized stores, restaurants and hotels, thus it has been made a must choice for visitors. Standing as the center of the square, the February 7 Tower was built to mark the great strike by the workers on the Beijing-Hankou (Wuhan) railway in 1923. Of concrete structure, the tower is 63 meters high, in 14 stories. At the top is a clock tower with 6 big clocks of the same size with a radius of 2.7 meters. Viewing from the east or west, the building is just a single tower, but it will be a beautiful twin tower when viewed from the south or north. By inside stairs visitors can climb to the top floor and enjoy a grand view of the “Green City”.

Now the tower functions as the February 7 Memorial Museum. The materials, photos and documentation are displayed in the 11 exhibition halls to present a complete picture of the historical rail worker strike. Various art shows are also arranged here. Zhengzhou is known as February 7 City, and the February 7 Tower is the symbolic building of this heroic municipality.
