ai Museum.
Located on Middle Nongye Road in Zhengzhou urban districts, it covers an area of over 100,000 square meters, and has a built area of 78,000 square meters and an exhibition floor area of 40,000 square meters. Designed by Mr. Qi Kan, a master architect and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the principal building 45.5 meters high vividly resembles a crowned pyramid. Just because of its splendid, powerful and unique style, the structure has been listed in the 55 “Excellent Works of the Contemporary Architecture of China” and “China’s Top 100 Classical Architectural Works in the 20th Century.” It is also praised as the “Pyramid of China” by a large number of visitors.
Henan Museum now exhibits 130,000 precious cultural relics carefully selected from 1.3 million pieces stored in the museums of the whole province. All such treasures are displayed in the 8 halls respectfully for the brilliant ancient culture in Henan, ancient stone carvings, ancient jade carvings, fine crafts of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, ancient architecture in Henan, bronze ware art of Kingdom Chu, the world of dinosaurs, etc. They demonstrate in a centralized way the resplendent civilization in the central China that had been in the lead several times in the Chinese history and even in the history of the whole world. The “No.1 of China and the world” can be seen here and there in the museum, forming a great feast for the eyes of the viewers. A good number of exhibits have been successively displayed in more than 20 countries and regions in the continents of Europe, America, Asia and Oceania, winning great admiration. Besides, everyday 2 ancient music shows are scheduled for the visitors in order to demonstrate the developed ancient musical civilization in central China.
